Walking up the stoney path towards the homestead, Isabelle Weaving could not still believe the reality of her fortune. Atleast she thought it was fortune when she was named on the will as the owner of Brookfield Farms. Ofcourse her father was just as much entitled to the property as she, but his great hatred for anything furry and dirty saw that the million dollars of rolling hills were her asset and hers alone.
Looking at the grass growing furiously she realized, she must find a few horses to graze on the land and keep the grass down. She knew it would be hard work as already the arena was starting to sprout weeds. Her dreams of attending university were slipping away as she sat on a fence post and looked down towards the overgrowing gorse. She alone, couldn't afford to study and maintain her mothers pride and joy and she would simply have to choose one or the other and simply sell the property on if all else failed.
Looking down to the far meadows, something caught her attention. A stunning white horse caught her attention cantering through the fields at the lower stream.
"Oi!!!!!!!" She called out in the hope of being heard. But no such luck as the wind was blowing directly into her face.
Issy was totally pissed off as it was her own land that they had trespassed on. Sure no other animals were here, but she felt a certain sense of ownership and belonging at the farm, confirming that she would keep the property no matter what.
In a huff, she went to find out who that grey horse belonged to.

Alex looked around as he led Jazz up to the Brookfield residence, he was hoping to find the owner. He wanted to find a place where Jazz could graze, seeing the pastures he thought this was a great place. Alex was wearing black skinny jeans, a plain shirt with a grey hoodie and converse.
The bay quarter horse nudged Alex as they walked, Alex smiled at the mare "come on Jazz" he said leading her over to the fence, there he saw someone "um excuse me? are you the owner?" he asked, wondering if his assumption was correct.

"Hi! Did you see that? Did you see that?" Isabelle abruptly questions, not even minding that there was a total stranger standing on her premises with a stunning horse.
"There was a horse just here. A white one with a rider. Now its gone bliming horse." She cursed, tucking the white blonde hair behind her air.
"And who are you?" She snarled with unthinkable distaste. She didn't mean to, it was totally uncharacterable of her. Obviously the stress of having to tidy up the farm and find grazers was getting to her.

Alex listened to the owner, he kept quiet as she asked him the same question twice as he did not know how to respond. Jazz gave a soft snort, pawing the ground.
Alex petted Jazz "I'm Alexander Matthews..." He introduced himself, he then added "I was looking for a place my horse could graze" he hoped she would let Jazz graze here.
Jazz lowered her head poking her muzzle through the fence, nibbling on the lushious blades of grass. Alex abruptly stopped the mare by gently tugging the lead rope.

"You know you can let your horse graze?" Issy said awfully nicely in comparison to her first remarks.
"I'm Issy by the way, nice to meet you." She kindly put out her hand for him to shake. She sensed he change in character had put him a little on edge. "I'm so glad you enquired about grazing, I really need to put some stock on this land."
It was true, she couldn't afford to keep the farm otherwise. She worried that maybe he fees were to high when she considered what to ask.
"Is $150.00 a month okay? I mean, I'd get in hay if the grass went low, but I believe it would take a while to get the pastures to that level." She gestured towards the knee high grass.

Alex nodded, then let Jazz lower her head to graze once again. He looked at the mare then back at the owner, he gave her a polite smile "It's nice to meet you too" he said taking her hand, shaking it lightly. "I'm glad to help" Alex replied, he looked at Jazz who had stretched her head over the fence in hopes of being petted by Issy.
"$150.00 a month would be great, if you would like I'll help out here for nothing" Alex offered, he was generally always willing to help out. "oh and I'm pretty sure Jazz here will do her part in helping keep the grass low" he smiled.

"Well she looks right at home here," Issy giggled as Jazz stuck her nose out for a rub. "Hey girl," she quietly whispered to the beautiful horse.
"If you are happy to pay that, that is great. I don't really know what to charge because I haven't really had to board horses before. Jazz is welcome anytime, and I may put out an advertisement so we can get more horses on so she isn't alone.
The facilities look kind of run down, your welcome to use them! I don't really know where to start though. Some of those weeds look like they could be a right royal pain to pull out."

"I'm pretty sure she'll like it here" Alex said with a smile as Jazz nickered lightly, then she had lowered her head again to graze some more; almost as if working her way along the fence line "I totally fine with that price" Alex said looking back at Issy.
"I can take a look at the facilities, maybe help tidy them up and make em' look more appealing? I'm sure I could have a go at getting rid of those weeds" Alex offered with a sweet smile.

"If you could that would be amazing. She is welcome to stay here today once you have finished with her, or maybe you have gear you need to move? I don't know, it's up to you." Issy felt genuinely excited. This was her first grazer of hopefully many. Maybe keeping the farm wasn't such a bad idea.
Just out of courtesy she also mentioned, "There is a property of auction just across from here, maybe your interested. I know that its in even worse condition than mine, but there is always potential in any property with land near the city these days."

"sure thing and Jazz probably wants to stretch her legs, she's been cooped up in a trailer most of the day..." Alex explained before going on further "I can get my tack and everything else later on" He said softly, he looked at Jazz who was still happily grazing. Alex looked back at Issy.
Alex smiled "thanks, I'll be sure to check it out" He replied, he looked around briefly.

"Awesome! The fees can be transferred for the month prior for grazing. And if you choose to leave I can give you a refund if you warn me." Issy giggled. She was rather happy that things were working out. However, she didn't know how to act professionally at all.
"I'm thinking of getting a pony of my own, just for hacking and maybe a few ribbon days or show jumping, so Jazz could have a paddock mate as well." It was something Issy had considered a while back, but now it wasn't looking like uni would be holding her back from caring and schooling a new horse. It could give her something else to focus on instead of the terror of trying to clean up the place. Thankfully it looked like she might have two helpers as well - Jazz and Alex seemed the perfect pair.

"sounds good to me" Alex said with a smile, he was glad Issy was down to earth and not like most people who would probably be way to serious for his liking. This was mostly because he wasn't really all that professional either, he'd rather be his normal self then act all bussiness like about everything. Alex looked at Jazz who had nudged him eagerly wanting to be let off in the paddock "someone's excited to have a gallop aren't they?" He said in one of those playful-like voices, he led her over to the gate and opened it leading her into the pasture and closing the gate behind him. Jazz bounced slightly on her back hooves as Alex unclipped the lead rope, as soon as she could the mare was off at a gallop through the grass.
Alex walked over to Issy "Yeah, if you do get a pony we could maybe go hacks together" Alex said, he looked at Jazz briefly who had taken to rolling around in the ground being sure to make herself muddy.

She watched as Jazz made herself at home, feeling great that they had come to such an agreement. Really Alex was doing her a great favor in keeping Jazz at Brookfield farms, and she felt equally at ease knowing it was helping him out too.
"Yeah, I really should keep a look out for a pony, but all my money is tied up in this property! It would be lovely to be able to go down to the forest and have a canter around those tracks!" Issy was so excited at the idea. "There are also great fallen trees which look perfect for the odd jump. What area of riding do you specialize in?"

Alex smiled as he watched Jazz get up, she had clearly done a great job on getting dirty on the first day here. The bay mare had even gotten mud stuck to her ears and her muzzle, Alex shook his head "I definitly got the craziest mare out there" He said with a chuckle. Jazz snorted a little and ducked her head back down to graze, flicking her tail at the pesky flies by her rump.
"that does sound really cool" Alex said, furthermore adding "I compete in cross-country mostly but I also do show-jumping".

"Awesome. Well I can't wait to get back into riding! I definitely could use the therapy!" Issy laughed. Her jokes were lame but she was so happy everything had fallen into place.
